Responsibilities
Provides remarkable customer service while processing titles of motor vehicles and trailers as well as registration of motor vehicles and trailers
Informs and guides customers consistently and accurately on required documentation for transactions
Prepares and processes vehicle titles for dealers
Remains current on all applicable laws, procedures and requirements from the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, Texas Parks and Wildlife and Texas Tax Code
Assists the Property Tax Collections Division collecting property tax payments as needed
Attends and participates in meetings and conferences, as required
Performs related duties

Qualification
Required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Minimum one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of county government operations
Knowledge of county fiscal and budgeting policies and procedures, as well as Federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations governing area of assignment
Knowledge of office procedures and systems
Knowledge of office equipment
Knowledge of basic bookkeeping practices and methods
Knowledge of department policies, procedures and regulations covering specific areas of assignment
Skill in communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, including skill in interpreting complex information and in conveying it to others in an accurate, complete, and understandable manner
Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with managers, supervisors, employees, external public agencies and organizations, vendors, suppliers and the general public
Skill in using initiative, discretion and decision making within established procedures, guidelines and rules
Skill in performing basic mathematical calculations
Skill in providing remarkable customer service
Skill in multi-tasking
Skill in operating a personal computer and various software applications
Valid Texas Driver's License
Attained Professional Designation Certification from the Tax Assessor-Collectors Association of Texas within three years including: County Tax Office Professional (CTOP)
