Responsibilities
Execute budget priorities with emphasis on part-time scheduling, water management, tool and chemical supplies
Supervise maintenance/landscaping staff for the Sports Complex
Perform technical maintenance work for MLB and MILB (e.g., ball field prep & renovations)
Coordinate agronomic and reconditioning maintenance calendar
Perform laser leveling, overseeding, field re-conditioning and other seasonal turf care practices
Oversee irrigation testing/maintenance
Provide turf grass management guidance for fertilizer/pesticide applications and compliance
Handle administrative duties: reports, safety inspections, inventory, meetings
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in any field or equivalent
Minimum of three years' related experience
Requires a working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment and procedures
Exerting 20-50 lbs. occasionally, 10-25 lbs
Ornamental and Turf Pest Control License through the Office of Pest Management within 6 months of hire
Playground Safety Certification through the National Playground and Safety Institute within 6 months of hire
Backflow/Check Valve Certification within 6 months of hire
Valid AZ Driver's License upon hire
Preferred
Experience in a municipal or government setting
Previous supervisory experience is preferred
