Responsibilities
Handle child support enforcement cases and other litigation in several counties in west central Illinois
Represent the Department of Healthcare and Family Services and the Department of Human Services
Manage a high volume of cases during court appearances and conduct formal evidentiary hearings when necessary
Prepare pleadings and responses to motions, and research legal issues
Qualification
Required
Excellent litigation and negotiation skills
Superior interpersonal skills
Licensed in Illinois at the time of application
Ability to manage a high volume of cases
Experience handling a high volume of cases
Demonstrated interest in and enthusiasm for trial work
Ability to conduct formal evidentiary hearings
Ability to prepare pleadings and responses to motions
Ability to research legal issues
Extensive travel, including travel in excess of 100 miles each way to various counties in west central Illinois
