Responsibilities
Providing grading observation and field fill placement and compaction testing services
Engagement with other geotechnical field tasks such as permeability/percolation testing
Slope inclinometer monitoring
Pile and tieback/soil nail installation observations
Landfill liner installation
Construction vibrations monitoring
Floor level surveys
Field gradation testing
Site reconnaissance
Assistance with field investigations
Field construction quality assurance activities
Preparation of daily field reports for submittal to engineers
Qualification
Required
5+ years of relevant experience
Nuclear gauge certification
40-hour HAZWOPER certification
Data entry and basic computer and math skills
Adequate oral communications skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability/willingness to travel within the southwest
Clean driving record and valid driver's license
Must be able to work outdoors under varying weather conditions, travel by foot over rough terrain, and lift at least 40 pounds
Preferred
Familiarity and competency with public works and state agencies' projects
Basic laboratory and concrete deputy services
