Avionics Install Technician - 2nd shift

The Avionics Install Technician will be responsible for replacing and repairing complex avionics systems, troubleshooting electrical systems, and performing inspections on civilian aircraft.

Responsibilities

Removal and installation of panels, components and interiors, as well as repair work on avionics installations
Stamp, bundle and install connectors on wiring
Removal of old wiring and installation of new wire bundles in aircraft
Troubleshooting and evaluation of avionics systems on the aircraft when designated
Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components when designated
Aircraft movement and assistance in hangar stack when required
Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling
Basic computer skills to be able to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance data bases
Work within a team process
Work independently on projects when required
Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English
Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Required

A High school diploma or equivalent
Basic computer skills to be able to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases
Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English
Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments
Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work
Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day
Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines
Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties
Maintain customer oriented work habits

Preferred

Electronics or Avionics training
1+ years' experience working with electrical/avionics systems highly preferred
A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory
