New Start Recovery Solutions is a network of leading behavioral health and rehab centers for adults and families suffering from addiction. The Mental Health Technician will provide care and support to patients in a therapeutic environment, assisting with daily living activities and participating in treatment program development.

Responsibilities

Provides care to patients in a manner that promotes safety, comfort, and the therapeutic environment

Assists patients with activities of daily living; attends to patient behavioral issues and provides assistance in crisis intervention, as needed

Works with a multidisciplinary team in leading milieu activities such as current events groups, community meetings, life skills, and/or recreational activities, as appropriate to the specified population

Charts patient observations, following policy and procedures requirements/mandates

Participates in the development and implementation of treatment programs

Maintains confidentiality of patient and all records

Transports patients to and from community appointments, clinics, labs, and/or treatments, as and when appropriate

Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, and safety, environmental and infection control standards

Document and utilize Electronic Medical Record

Attend all mandatory staff meetings, group sessions, and in-service education

Perform other duties as assigned
