IT Field Technician
Medasource is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused IT Field Technician to provide on-site technical support at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. The role involves supporting mission-critical healthcare technology and end-user systems, ensuring system reliability and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
Provide on-site desktop and device support for hospital departments, including installation, imaging, configuration, and maintenance of Windows-based PCs, laptops, and mobile devices
Support Epic Hyperspace and Citrix environments, including workstation access, printer configuration, and troubleshooting session issues
Manage tickets through ServiceNow, ensuring timely updates and documentation of all service requests and incidents
Collaborate with Providence’s centralized IT and Clinical Informatics teams to resolve escalations, deploy patches, and execute enterprise rollouts
Support peripherals such as badge readers, label printers, barcode scanners, and Imprivata single sign-on stations
Maintain and track IT assets, ensuring accuracy in hardware inventory and compliance with lifecycle management standards
Provide technical support in patient care areas (nursing units, labs, radiology, ORs) while maintaining sensitivity to clinical workflows and HIPAA compliance
Assist with network connectivity troubleshooting, cabling, and coordination with network engineers for switch or VLAN changes
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience in IT field support, desktop support, or hospital technology environments
Proficiency in Windows 10/11, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms
Working knowledge of Citrix, SCCM, Intune, or Azure AD Autopilot for workstation imaging and endpoint management
Basic understanding of networking concepts (LAN/WAN, VLANs, IP addressing, Wi-Fi troubleshooting)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to support users of varying technical skill levels
Familiarity with clinical or healthcare settings and adherence to security and privacy standards (HIPAA)
Preferred
Experience supporting Epic or other major EHR applications
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or ITIL Foundation
Experience with Imprivata, Zebra printers, MobileIron/Intune MDM, or VMware/Citrix virtualization
Previous experience supporting medical devices or imaging workstations alongside Clinical Engineering teams
