Responsibilities

Prepare exam rooms, gather tools, assist with exams and procedures, obtain patient histories and vitals, triage emergencies, administer vaccines, assist with surgical prep/cleanup, and educate clients on diet and husbandry
Perform venipuncture on multiple species, collect and prepare diagnostic samples (cytology, fecals, trichograms), run in-house lab tests, process lab forms, perform basic cytology evaluations, and submit necropsy requests
Create and explain treatment estimates, call in prescriptions, manage follow-up care, confirm appointments and surgeries, participate in rounds, maintain client communication, and respond to departmental emails
Provide basic grooming, assist with medical procedures and euthanasia, place and maintain IV/IO catheters, calculate and administer medications, set up fluid therapy, assist with feeding, perform CPR/CPCR, monitor anesthesia, and handle aftercare
Record patient care, CPCR events, technician notes, and enter charges into Cornerstone accurately and on time
Use appropriate veterinary terminology, maintain a positive and adaptable attitude, work as part of a collaborative team, and assist in training other staff members across departments

Required

Three years of experience working as a nursing team member in a veterinary hospital is required
Prior experience with anesthesia techniques and protocols is required
Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus!

Preferred

Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT)
Prior experience working with avian/exotics patients
