Responsibilities

Constant regard must be maintained in following all security and safety protocols
The ability to work in close proximity to inmates is required
The maintenance person must effectively diagnose maintenance issues and consider the appropriate course of action or alternative courses of action if applicable
The maintenance person must work well under pressure, have the ability to adapt to changing conditions and circumstances, and demonstrate a high level of initiative
The maintenance person must maintain an appropriate awareness of cost control and proper utilization of resources
The ability to effectively prioritize tasks and make sound decisions

Qualification

Required

The maintenance person must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent
Prior experience in a trade of skilled labor position is beneficial
Ability to operate a variety of heavy equipment (snow plows, dump truck, tractor)
A valid driver's license is required
A criminal history check will be completed
