IMCU037 FT Patient Care Technician
South Arkansas Regional Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to assist in the care of patients under the direction of nursing staff. The PCT will be responsible for maintaining patient stability, providing comfort, and performing various patient care tasks.

Demonstrate ability to follow direction and perform work according to department standards under the supervision of nursing staff
Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired regarding personal, financial, medical or employment of patients, families and employees of SARH
Demonstrate ability to measure vital signs and document, assist with total patient care, assist with activities of daily living, and other patient care tasks as assigned
Demonstrate ability to use PPE appropriately and comply with all infection control practices and standards
Demonstrate ability to use proper lifting techniques with proper body mechanics without causing injury to patient, self, or others
Demonstrate ability to communicate all aspects of patient care with nursing staff
Demonstrate the ability to follow all safety practices for patients at SARH and report hazards while initiating appropriate action
Participate in performance improvement initiatives and Department indicators
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must possess high school diploma or GED equivalent and exhibit proficiency in nursing assistant care and oral communication skills
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required

One year of experience in direct patient care is preferred
Nursing Assistant Certification in the State of Arkansas is preferred
