Sr. HVAC/R Service Technician
Cold Tech Refrigeration has been a trusted HVAC and Refrigeration partner since 1992, serving commercial clients across several states. They are seeking a Senior HVAC/R Service Technician to deliver expert service, mentor junior technicians, and maintain high customer satisfaction while working independently in the field.

Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair advanced HVAC/R systems including walk-in coolers, freezers, ice machines, ovens, fryers, refrigeration rack systems, HVAC equipment, RTU’s, chillers, glycol pumps, boilers and more
Execute repairs, PMs, and installs with precision—meeting or exceeding manufacturer and industry standards
Be the field expert customers trust and junior techs learn from
Participate in an after-hours rotation for emergency calls (with billable OT pay)
Deliver professional, respectful, and transparent communication to customers and dispatch
Be the first responder for escalated service needs and ensure high-satisfaction outcomes
Represent Cold Tech’s “customer-first” service mindset
Support and train junior technicians in the field with hands-on teaching and guidance
Perform site visits for quality control and help uphold safety and service standards
Maintain a collaborative, high-morale, and safe working environment
Complete job documentation and update ServiceTitan workflows consistently
Attend weekly team meetings to review KPIs, sales performance, job outcomes, and upcoming goals
Proactively recommend improvements to workflow and resource allocation
Ensure your vehicle and team’s vans are properly stocked and organized
Coordinate parts and supplies with our service coordinator to reduce delays and downtime
Report any tool loss or equipment issues promptly
Qualification
Required
3+ years of commercial HVAC/R experience (journeyman-level)
EPA 608 Certification (required)
Idaho HVAC journeyman license or equivalent (or ability to obtain)
Strong diagnostic skills and pride in doing work right the first time
Comfortable with digital work orders and software (e.g., ServiceTitan or similar)
Commitment to mentorship, teamwork, and continual improvement
Strong communication and professionalism with clients and team
