NEOGOV is seeking a Street Maintenance Technician I for the Town of Mooresville. The role involves performing a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled manual labor tasks in the maintenance and repair of streets and other facilities, including asphalt and concrete work, cleaning storm drains, and assisting in snow and ice control.

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of semi-skilled and unskilled tasks in maintaining and repairing Town, streets, sidewalks, and storm drainage systems
Prepares asphalt materials for resurfacing and patching
Lays, pours, and assists in concrete work
Hand grades streets and ditches
Cleans storm drains and catch basins; mows, trims, and landscapes work area
Heats and maintains proper temperature on tar kettle
Sets up safety cones and signs and flags traffic around construction sites
Operates asphalt roller, air hammer, and other light to medium unskilled equipment
Shovels snow from sidewalks or other areas
Performs other duties as requested

Required

A High School Diploma or GED
Six months of related experience
