Senior Litigation Docketing Specialist (Atlanta and Phoenix)
Taft Law is a full-service law firm with a commitment to client success, currently seeking a Senior Litigation Docketing Specialist to join their team. The role involves interpreting legal documents, managing docketing events, and providing training and support to staff while maintaining exceptional client service.

Responsibilities
Reads and interprets various documents to extract critical dates for docketing
Creates new events and updates existing events in CompuLaw from notifications and requests received for docketing. Manually calculates dates as needed
Maintains the accuracy of data pertaining to the matters managed within the CompuLaw software
Interacts with court personnel, attorneys and staff in a professional manner to obtain and provide data, answer questions, and resolve problems
Prepares, processes and generates routine and special reports for the litigation practice group and support staff
Develops procedures and reference sheets for docketing in jurisdictions across the United States as needed
Researches and keeps up-to-date on developments and changes in court procedures for various jurisdictions. This includes analyzing information and interpreting rules and statutes
Provides training to litigation docketing specialists as it relates to changes in court procedures and rule changes for various jurisdictions and practice areas
Supports and conducts training for new docketing staff on department procedures and software systems
Provides support to the Litigation Docketing Manager as it relates to firm-wide initiatives and special projects
Qualification
Required
Proficient in the use of Aderant CompuLaw
Knowledge of the legal process, court operations, and federal, state and local court and administrative rules
Ability to read, understand and interpret complex documents such as pleadings and other documents related to a litigation matter
Ability to communicate effectively with, and follow instructions from, diverse individuals and to provide information with courtesy and tact, verbally and in writing
Ability to reason and apply common sense understanding to resolve problems and carry out instructions furnished verbally or in writing
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide and perform mathematical functions normally needed to calculate dates
Proficient in the use of MS Office programs is required
Ability to work under a high level of mental effort and strain to perform the essential duties of the position
Ability to occasionally work more than 40 hours per week
5-7 years prior docket related experience with a rule based calendaring system (CompuLaw, CourtAlert, and/or eDockets)
Preferred
Relativity Certified Administrator credential preferred
