North Shore Steel is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for Bayou Processing & Storage in east Houston. This role involves handling maintenance and repair tasks related to electrical power sources for equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities

Handles needed repairs for equipment and or facilities
Completes Preventive Maintenance on all equipment
Maintains tool inventory and in proper storage
Maintains inventory of replacement parts and equipment
Inspects tools and equipment to ensure they are in working order
Updates maintenance and repair logs for equipment
Maintains a safe, neat, and orderly facility always
Identifies process deficiencies and reports them to management
Attends and/or leads all required training and safety sessions
Immediately reports all safety violations or unsafe work conditions
Performs other related duties as assigned

Required

Previous experience with maintenance/repair of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems on industrial equipment
Strong mechanical skills and ability to use power and hand tools
Strong math aptitude
Ability to reach and follow service repair manuals
Professional communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections
Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present
Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time
