Responsibilities

The Maintenance Technician 3 will actively participate in the day-to-day maintenance activities associated with the safety, security and operation of Atlantic City Airport
The Maintenance Technician 3 must be available to respond as needed when requested by the ACY Facility staff to any airport emergency condition including but not limited to snow emergencies
Learn and become proficient with the operation of all ACY snow emergency equipment and perform snow removal services on both the public roadway system as well as the AOA areas including runways, taxiways, service roads, ramp areas, and perimeter roadways
Learn to operate all airport equipment and vehicles to perform any and all maintenance tasks including landscaping, paving, transporting of materials etc
The Airport Technician 3 will be required to work any shift as deemed necessary by the ACY Management Staff
Perform maintenance and repairs of Airport owned buildings
Perform maintenance and repairs of Airport owned land and grounds
Perform maintenance and repairs, of all Airport hard surfaces (i.e. asphalt and Concrete), includes snow removal, crack sealing, asphalt patching, paint striping etc
Perform maintenance and repairs of the Airport’s utilities including water system, sanitary sewer system and storm sewer system as required
Perform maintenance and repairs on Airport baggage conveyors, passenger boarding bridges and other facility systems as requested
Perform other duties as assigned
May be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth above to address business needs and changing business practices

Required

Must have Journeyman license which must be maintained and kept up-to-date
Required Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL). Must have or be able to obtain one within one year of hire
Must keep CDL driver's license current
Must be available during snow/severe weather emergencies. Participation in snow removal activities is mandatory
High school education or equivalent
Must be able to speak and read English
Facilities Experience and/or aptitude in all building and facility systems including Baggage Belts, Loading Bridges, HVAC, sprinkler systems, generators, PLCs
Experience in Preventative Maintenance techniques with the ability to troubleshoot various maintenance issues and make repairs or recommend repairs
General facility maintenance to include buildings, grounds, asphalt, concrete, HVAC etc
Proven experience in troubleshooting various Electrical systems, both high and low voltage, and control wiring
Hazardous materials and their safe use and proper disposal
Landscape and grounds maintenance techniques including but not limited to familiarity with snow plows (skid steer, bob cats, hustlers, tractors)
Diagnosing and repairing HVAC and electrical systems and components
General interior and exterior building maintenance and repairs
General plumbing repairs and maintenance
Minor repairs and maintenance to gasoline and diesel engine equipment and vehicles
Metal working, welding, fabrication
Operating and minor repairs to hydraulic powered equipment. Heavy equipment operation
Operating aviation radios to perform daily tasks
Ability to: To work alone and unsupervised. To Multi-task. Help maintain a positive, on-going, pro-active maintenance programs
Maintain safety programs for all airport maintenance issues and duties
Ability to be regular in attendance; report to work on time and in proper uniform and be at workstation ready to begin work at the start of shift and at the completion of scheduled breaks; and to remain at work for the scheduled workday
