NEOGOV is seeking a Seasonal Out of School Time Counselor for the Town of Hanover, NH. This entry-level position will assist senior staff in various recreational programs and ensure the safety and well-being of participants.

Responsibilities

Assist senior staff members in the day-to-day operations of programs and supervision of participants
Responsible for equipment needed in different activities—taking out balls, bats, etc. and returning to proper place at the end of activities
Will help maintain a safe and clean environment
Will assist with activities when requested to by senior staff members
Reports all infractions or issues to immediate supervisor
Assists with the responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of program participants
May be assigned the task of checking areas at the beginning of the day to make sure they are clean, healthy, and free from hazards
May assist with special events and activities
May assist in participant counts periodically throughout the day, including field trips
Will perform related duties as required

CPR/First Aid certificationWorking with youthSwimming abilityFollowing directionsEnjoying outdoor activities

Required

Candidates must be able to satisfy NH work permit requirements
Successful completion of 9th Grade of High School and enrolled in High School or equivalent
Minimum age of 15 years old
Must enjoy working with youth and being outside
Must be able to follow directions from senior staff members
Certification in CPR/First Aid endorsements from an approved agency
Must be comfortable in the water and have the ability to swim
