Responsibilities

Downloads, enters, and regulates data and maintains quality assurance

Contributes to report writing and graphical presentation of data

Monitors inventory of equipment and supplies and places orders in a timely fashion

Maintains laboratory facilities and equipment in compliance with safety regulations and policies

Collect and process biological samples (plasma, serum, saliva following standardized protocols)

Perform phlebotomy on research participants

Collect saliva samples from research participants

Ensures all research is undertaken according to good research practice and guidance

Utilize centrifuges to process samples and aliquot for storage or shipping

Record data into Laboratory Management System and research database

Maintain inventory of laboratory equipment and supplies and place orders in a timely fashion

Clean, sanitize, maintain, and operate laboratory equipment

Keep records of research data and assists in analyzing it

Prepare reports of experiment results

Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets

Performs other duties as assigned
