Responsibilities
Review each repair order (RO) to understand the repairs needed prior to beginning work
Consistently produce high-quality repairs in accordance with the repair order, OEM policies, or documentation provided for a positive customer experience
Ability to properly use specialized tools and equipment in a safe manner
Perform all aspects of trailer repair (excluding reefer units)
Identify parts necessary for repair completion and work in conjunction with Parts department to reduce downtime
Move trailers in/out of shop and perform road tests as required
Ensure company and OEM policies and processes are followed, including thorough documentation
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace according to company and Elite Support guidelines
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Driver's License with ability to meet insurance requirements is required; Class B or Class A CDL with air brake endorsement is highly preferred
1-3 years within a shop environment; heavy-duty repair experience is highly preferred
Demonstrated welding and fabricating experience
Basic computer knowledge
Proven technical skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions
Ability to understand and comply with company, industry, and OSHA guidelines and policies
Ability to lift 110 lbs. unassisted
Must participate in a pre-employment background check and drug screen
Preferred
Class B or Class A CDL with air brake endorsement is highly preferred
1-3 years within a shop environment; heavy-duty repair experience is highly preferred
