Mobile Service Truck Technician

The Mobile Service Technician plays a vital role in performing on-site maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics for commercial and emergency vehicles, focusing on delivering exceptional customer service while working independently in the field.

Responsibilities

Perform on-site diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems
Respond to road calls and provide efficient, high-quality mobile service to minimize vehicle downtime
Operate and maintain company-provided service vehicles, tools, and equipment
Document all services performed, parts used, and customer interactions accurately through work orders and reports
Communicate with the service manager, parts department, and customers regarding job status and timelines
Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of tools, equipment, and hazardous materials
Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and recommend preventative maintenance
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked mobile service truck
Represent Campbell Supply professionally and uphold customer service standards at all times

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of experience as a diesel truck or mobile service technician
Strong proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Ability to work independently in the field and manage time effectively
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Familiarity with mobile diagnostic tools, equipment, and repair procedures
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Willingness to participate in ongoing training to stay current with vehicle technology and repair methods
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
Frequent use of diagnostic equipment, power tools, and hand tools
Requires standing, bending, and climbing in and around vehicles for extended periods

Preferred

CDL preferred but not required
