Responsibilities

Perform duties related to supervision of the Building, Inspections, and Permit technical staff
Examine building plans, Civil site plans, and related documents of industrial, commercial, and residential structures
Supervising and assisting in training the Inspectors and Permit technical staff
Providing technical expertise in the review and approval of construction plans and complex job interpretations
Coordinating plan review and permit processing activities with other departments and divisions
Act for the Building Official in the latter’s absence

Qualification

Commercial plan reviewer certificationCertified Building Official certification’s degree in related fieldExperience in engineeringArchitectureComputer skillsWireless device skillsValid state driver’s license

Required

Bachelor's degree in planning and development, business or public administration, engineering, architecture, building construction, or related field
Five years' experience in engineering, architecture, inspecting, working as a contractor or superintendent of construction
Computer and wireless device skills
Valid state driver's license
All Commercial plan reviewer certifications as required by law
Certified Building Official certification
