MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN- PLC

Responsibilities

Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery and building facilities as needed
Understand and follow emergency procedures in the event of equipment failure
Perform equipment repairs as required for breakdowns
Oversee the maintenance of the facility and all related equipment
Collaborate closely with production to ensure timely product output that meets the highest food safety and quality standards
Proficient in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair
Troubleshoot motor controls, including HMIs and PLCs
Diagnose issues with automation components such as HMIs, PLCs, I/O modules, and VFDs
Identify communication systems on automation devices
Perform basic programming of PLCs
Design and implement innovations and improvements to enhance equipment efficiency, safety, and reliability

Required

High School Diploma or GED is required
3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience is required
Proficient in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair
Troubleshoot motor controls, including HMIs and PLCs

Identify communication systems on automation devices

Preferred

A technical or vocational degree in a related field is strongly preferred
Prior experience in bakery environments
Sanitary welding experience is a plus, though not required
