Shelter Resource Navigator- Temporary
NEOGOV is seeking a Shelter Resource Navigator for the City of Loveland's shelter program aimed at assisting adults experiencing homelessness. The Navigator will provide support in achieving housing, employment, and stability through one-on-one assistance and connections to community resources.

Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one, task-oriented support to individuals experiencing homelessness, with a focus on housing, employment, and stability
Assist participants with job-readiness tasks such as creating resumes, applying for jobs, practicing interviews, and accessing employment resources
Conduct intakes and assessments, identify guest goals, and create individualized stability plans
Support housing navigation, including voucher applications, housing searches, and landlord communication
Assist participants in obtaining documentation (birth certificates, IDs, Social Security cards, etc.)
Help guests access and maintain benefits (e.g., Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, Connect for Health)
Provide connections to medical, dental, and mental health providers and assist with appointments and paperwork
Connect participants with community resources
Maintain accurate records and case notes in required databases
Actively research and share information on available resources with staff and guests
Advocate for guests as directed to help them achieve their goals
Assist with day to day shelter operations as needed
Ensure a welcoming and safe environment for all shelter guests
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree or higher in social work, human services, criminal justice or related field required
One (1) year of experience as a resource navigator, other homeless service provider or related position required
Bilingual in English and Spanish, proof of passed assessment required before hire
Ability to pass Spanish speaking assessment conducted by the City of Loveland
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and comfort with web-based applications
Experience working with vulnerable populations and an understanding of trauma-informed care
Excellent communication, listening, and conflict resolution skills
Knowledge of community resources and social service systems in Northern Colorado
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and respectful service delivery
Must be able to pass a background check, legally work in the U.S., and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
