Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians in the examination and treatment of cats
Maintain medical records and prepare reports for veterinarians
Provide surgical support and monitor anesthesia on feline patients, including high-risk, medically complex felines
Comfortable with "spicy" kitties and able to remain calm with fractious cats
Skilled in performing dental radiographs and dental prophylaxis
Advanced, safe handling and positioning for digital radiographs
Perform ultrasound guided cystocentesis
Utilize and maintain in-house laboratory equipment (Idexx/VetScan)
Able to utilize veterinary medical record management software
Provides outstanding customer service and time management skills
Is respectful of all team members
Communicate clearly with clients, doctors, and all staff members
Collaborating with the practice manager to develop and execute educational programs for team members, focusing on enhancing clinical skills, client communication, and patient care
Assisting the practice manager in implementing new operational techniques and protocols to streamline workflow and optimize practice performance
Providing hands-on training and support to team members during the adoption of new technologies and operational procedures
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to veterinary medicine and practice management

Required

Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of WA, or eligible to transfer/obtain license within 3 months of hire
Minimum 2 years experience working as a credentialed veterinary technician required
Assist veterinarians in the examination and treatment of cats
Maintain medical records and prepare reports for veterinarians
Provide surgical support and monitor anesthesia on feline patients, including high-risk, medically complex felines
Comfortable with 'spicy' kitties and able to remain calm with fractious cats

Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred, but not required
