2nd Shift Maintenance Technician

They are seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to support the facility manager in maintaining a professional working environment by performing preventive maintenance and repairs on commercial and industrial facility equipment.

Responsibilities

Abides by all safety guidelines including OSHA regulations, lock-out/tag-out, etc
Competently maintains, troubleshoots, and performs substantial equipment repairs. Works independently, and as part of the facilities maintenance team to:
Repair Walls, Floors, Doors and any painting and touch up work for beautification of facility
Repair and unclog toilets, urinals, replace and maintain valve assemblies and repair/maintain sensors for automatic flush kits, as well as all other plumbing related to the facility. Responsible for operation, maintenance and repair of air handling equipment at this facility such as vent fans and circulation fans
Preforms preventative maintenance, including the diagnosis of malfunctioning apparatus and/or systems, such as general repairs, minor plumbing, carpentry and electrical needs such as light, receptacles, ballast and controls, HVAC equipment
Monitors the building automation computer system to ensure equipment is running and the building temperature conditions are in range
Communicates effectively with coworkers and customer staff; assuring that all aspects of a work request are understood. This includes ensuring the customer is adequately informed about work status and expected completion dates
Maintains, troubleshoots, and performs minor repairs on equipment. At times, working with guidance of more experienced techs. For example:
Inspection/evaluation may include measurement of operating characteristics such as speeds, pressures or vibration; and features such as wear, replacement of expendables (i.e. belts, hoses, fluids, filters, etc.)
Preventative maintenance may include tasks such as filter changes, condenser cleaning, oil changes, machinery lubing and greasing
Repairs could include tasks like routine cleaning/patching/painting buildings, basic repairs to equipment including small plumbing and simple electrical repairs; might include addressing client concerns with lighting, etc
Responsible for maintenance and repair of the general facility along with the ability to perform all aspects involved with minor office reconfigurations (planning, coordination, execution, and clean-up)
May manage maintenance projects, including complex equipment repair, communicating effectively with Site Lead and coordinating with Sub-Contractors of facilities services
Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by the Site Manager

Required

4 years' experience and/or training including the application of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry skills/concepts required
