Electrocardiograph (ECG) Technician

HEALTH HYRE is seeking two skilled and certified Electrocardiograph (ECG) Technicians to support the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. The role involves performing non-invasive diagnostic procedures, operating ECG equipment, and ensuring patient safety while working closely with physicians and clinical staff.

Responsibilities

Perform ECGs, exercise stress tests, and ambulatory monitoring for inpatient and outpatient populations
Operate and maintain ECG equipment; troubleshoot and report issues to Biomedical Engineering
Evaluate test results and communicate abnormalities to physicians
Monitor patient vitals and ensure safety during procedures
Maintain accurate records in CPRS, VISTA, and MUSE systems
Schedule patients, manage inventory, and support administrative tasks
Provide excellent patient care and customer service in line with “patient-centered care” principles

Required

Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
Experience with ECG lead placement, stress testing, and ambulatory monitoring
Knowledge of medical terminology and ECG equipment operation
Ability to recognize and respond to medical emergencies and arrhythmias
Familiarity with HIPAA and patient privacy regulations
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
