NEOGOV is seeking a Teaching Assistant (TA) to support faculty in delivering quality education at Zane State College. The role involves aiding classroom instruction, providing academic support to students, and performing administrative tasks related to course delivery.

Responsibilities

Assist faculty in preparing presentations, and course materials such as Blackboard shells, handouts, tests, or assignments

Facilitate labs as assigned and perform general organization and setup for labs

Provide support to students by answering questions, tutoring, and holding office hours

Grade assignments, quizzes, exams, and other coursework in alignment with faculty guidelines

Maintain accurate records, enter grades and attendance ensuring compliance with institutional standards

Communicate effectively with students and staff to promote a collaborative learning environment

Required

Completion of Engineering Technology associate's degree

Actively enrolled in a bachelor's degree to assist in an associates degree course work (or actively enrolled in a master's degree to assist in bachelor's degree course work) at Zane State College

The degree being pursued should be in Engineering Technology or related Engineering Science area

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and blackboard LMS

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively

Must be available daytime, evening and/or weekends
