Responsibilities
Clean and help maintain beaches, picnic areas, parking lots, playgrounds, and open areas in County parks, restroom facilities, and buildings
Clean, plant, fertilize, irrigate, mow, trim, and maintain grounds and play areas for beaches & natural areas
Cut, trim, water and fertilize general turf, trees, and bushes
Remove refuse and paper from grounds and buildings
Work on maintenance projects, set up and dismantle tables, chairs, and decorations associated with special functions and room/facility utilization
Operate heavy equipment, light automotive equipment, UTV’s, light landscape equipment, and hand tools
Keep operating records, and complete material requests, service requests, and work orders
Keep a schedule for maintenance work orders in assigned area(s)
Perform daily safety checks and repairs as needed
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or its equivalent
Valid Florida Driver's License at time of hire
Subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening
Employees must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 lbs
Preferred
Experience with small tools and lightweight maintenance equipment
