Field Service Technician I - (Rotating Equipment)
Aerzen USA Corp. is an international manufacturer of positive displacement blowers and other equipment. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing Aerzen products, while providing high-quality customer service and technical support at various locations.

Responsibilities
Perform startups, equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs and/or preventive maintenance service on all Aerzen Products at customer sites
Represent Aerzen in professional and courteous manner following all Aerzen and customer safety requirements
Installing, configuring, calibrating and maintaining control, measurement and indicating instrumentation (pneumatic, analog & digital)
Installing and terminating electrical, pneumatic and fluid connections
Understand controls narratives and analyze/troubleshoot process application related issues
Analyzing and correcting communication issues
Properly address TCP/IP networks and RS-485 communications
Perform repairs and assembly on Aerzen Products
Disassemble; assess damage and evaluate failures on machines; diagnose problems with Aerzen machines by evaluating material condition and asking the customer questions; demonstrates the ability to offer machine-based recommendations; can identify the root cause of a machine failure; Utilize defined procedures and a standard rebuild kit
Read, understand and use equipment diagrams, checklists, engineering drawings, and other process documentation to perform service tasks, assembly and repairs on Aerzen Products
Communicate with customers to discuss job requirements, provide recommendations and service options, listen to customer concerns, and provide status updates during service call and at completion
Evaluate customer future needs and communicate information through appropriate channels
Assist engineering in plant design, modifications and hazard analysis
Plan and schedule travel to best meet customer requirement, service schedule requirement and time efficiency utilizing the Concur booking tool
Complete job-related service reports, expense reports and forms in a timely basis; Collect data and make commissioning graphs using Company Software
Complete written repair reports to document cause of failure, description of work performed, materials consumed, condition of equipment as received and as returned to the customer
Conduct customer training on Aerzen Products when onsite
Perform all work in accordance with quality standards, established safety procedures and maintains a clean, safe work area
Participate in departmental initiatives such as, but not limited to, inventory counts, shop organization, clean-up and other duties assigned by the manager
Qualification
Required
An Associates Degree (2 years schooling) in electronics technology or equivalent experience
1-4 years of Field Service Experience with rotary equipment such as compressors, Pumps or similar
Must have electrical experience, preferably working with VFDs and controls
Windows, Microsoft Office, Sales Force Internet Abilities
TCP/IP networks and RS-485 communications
Ability to Interpret process flow, control wiring, as well as piping and instrumentation diagrams
Ability to travel 85% or more of the time
Preferred
Allen Bradley PLC experience
RS Logix 5000 experience
PLC or similar Ladder-Logic programming experience
Welding (brazing, cutting, welding, plasma) a plus
