Qualification
Required
Minimum 16 years of age for Instructor 1
Minimum 18 years of age for Instructor 2 and 3
Minimum 21 years of age for Instructor 4
Formal and informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance
A good, working understanding of advanced instruction techniques to lead participants on various recreation, cultural and leisure classes
Experience in working with people with disabilities and the associated behaviors when assigned to Adaptive Recreation programs
Ability to provide advanced instruction to participants registered in classes
Ability to greet participants
Ability to provide facility tours
Ability to explain facility programs to participants
Ability to set up/take down equipment for program and/or special events
Ability to prepare curriculum guidelines for proposed classes
Ability to print Activity Role Sheet
Ability to conduct role call
Preferred
Bilingual skills are desirable
First Aid/CPR and AED certifications preferred but not required
