Responsibilities
Installing, maintaining, and repairing control systems and equipment
Conducting tests and diagnostics to identify issues with control systems
Troubleshooting involves analyzing problems and implementing solutions to ensure optimal performance
Writing or modifying software programs for control systems, ensuring they function according to specifications
Calibrating sensors, controllers, and other components of control systems to ensure accuracy and reliability
Maintaining accurate records of work performed, including maintenance schedules, repairs, and modifications to control systems
Adhering to safety protocols and industry regulations to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with standards
Providing training to operators or other technicians on the use and maintenance of control systems
Offering technical support to resolve issues as they arise
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent
Some positions may require additional technical training or certifications related to control systems
Proficiency in electrical systems, mechanical systems, and control systems
Knowledge of PLC programming, SCADA systems and other automation technologies is often required
