Responsibilities

Serve as the senior facilities technician onsite, authorized to make real-time decisions on maintenance priorities, safety responses, and escalation protocols
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, boilers, chillers, compressed air, purified water, and building automation systems
Monitor critical environments (temperature, humidity, cleanroom pressure differentials) and initiate responses to out-of-spec conditions
Support GMP compliance by maintaining accurate documentation, completing work orders, and ensuring facilities are audit-ready
Lead and mentor junior facilities staff, providing technical expertise and training
Collaborate with contractors and vendors to complete installations, upgrades, and repairs
Support capital projects, providing technical input to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
Act as emergency response support for facility-related incidents, making on-the-spot decisions to minimize risk
Provide clear and professional communication with Operations, Quality, and Validation teams to align facilities support with production needs

Qualification

GMP environmentsFacility systemsHVAC knowledgeCMMS systemsEPA HVAC certificationTechnical troubleshootingEHS safety protocolsMentoring

Required

Strong understanding of GMP environments, facility systems, and EHS safety protocols
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently
5+ years of facility maintenance experience in a regulated biotech, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environment
Proficiency in using CMMS systems, SOP documentation, and facility reporting
Strong mechanical, electrical, and HVAC knowledge

Preferred

Certifications such as EPA HVAC, OSHA 30, or other technical credentials
Prior cross-functional experience supporting validation, engineering, or quality teams
Familiarity with biopharma manufacturing utilities (clean steam, purified water, LN2 systems)
Experience mentoring or leading junior technicians
