Responsibilities
Coordinates and performs a variety of lead cashiering functions on behalf of the City's Water Utilities Division; assists in coordinating cash receipt operations; responds to customer inquiries and complaints; assists in resolving account issues; conducts general accounting work; and performs other related duties as assigned
Provides assistance in coordinating the day-to-day activities of the Division's front counter and drive-thru cashiering areas
Opens, closes, and maintains adequate funds for computer cash stations; monitors and maintains compliance with cash control procedures
Balances cash drawers; assists in reconciling cash receipts and/or adjustments; prepares daily bank deposits
Provides direct service to customers; receives, processes, and posts utility payments to customer accounts
Reviews and accepts various types of information from customers including but not limited to identification records and lease agreements
Responds to customer inquiries; researches and assists in resolving account issues
Conducts a variety of general clerical duties; answers incoming calls; opens and processes departmental mail
Provides assistance in training other customer service personnel as assigned
Performs other related duties as assigned or required
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Two years customer service/cashiering experience
Valid Texas Driver's License
