Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair Freon refrigeration system components, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, and sensors
Weld and install copper piping and ensure proper system connections
Inspect equipment for defects, irregularities, or signs of malfunction
Diagnose and repair issues involving electrical wiring and motor control systems
Adjust and regulate system pressures and temperatures to maintain operational standards
Replace filters, sensors, and fan motors as needed to ensure efficient equipment function
Read and interpret pressure gauges and other diagnostic instruments accurately
Follow all safety policies, procedures, and guidelines during installation, repair, and maintenance activities
Support the department with additional duties as assigned to meet plant needs
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial refrigeration maintenance
Valid Freon handling license required
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and system schematics
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, especially with refrigeration and electrical systems
Capable of climbing ladders and working on uneven surfaces while carrying tools or equipment
Must demonstrate a commitment to workplace safety and compliance with regulatory requirements
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
