Water Damage Technician

Responsibilities

Work closely with Restoration Supervisor to ensure customers’ needs are met
Respond to a variety of emergency and non-emergency service requests including fire & water damage mitigation, mold remediation, HVAC ductwork cleaning, board up/temporary repairs
Perform restoration production processes as scheduled (demolition, cleaning, content manipulation, etc.) and ensure quality control, this is a labor-intensive position
Thoroughly document the job process, from start to finish, in real-time using the latest technology
Maintain a clean job site and company vehicle
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
Must possess a clean driving record
Must occasionally be able to respond to losses 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during a rotating on-call shift schedule
Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time; repetitively push/pull/carry objects; lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 occasionally with assistance; climb ladders, work at ceiling heights or in tight spaces
Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage
Evaluate and perform restoration activities including but not limited to, water extraction, fire damages, set-up of specialty equipment, and demolition
Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and all necessary supplies for each project
Effectively communicate , job site findings, equipment, and tool requirements for the worksite with supervisors
Maintain open and clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns and explaining the restoration process
Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site clean-up

IICRC certification is a plus
