NEOGOV is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join the City of South Lake Tahoe’s Parks and Recreation Department as a part-time Recreation Program Coordinator. The role involves planning, organizing, and facilitating various recreational programs and ensuring a positive participant experience.

Coordinating a variety of programs including Mini Mountain Movers, Sunday Craft Afternoons, Adult and Youth Leagues, Tiny Tots Sports and additional programming as assigned
Scheduling
Program development
Setup and teardown
Facilitation
Administrative duties
Ensuring a positive participant experience

Qualification

Recreation program developmentCustomer serviceMicrosoft Office SuiteAdobe softwareEvent managementTeam player

Required

Recreation industry experience
Comfortable creating and implementing recreational programs
Customer service oriented
Proficient with computer software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe
Ability to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office and recreation facility setting
Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
Ability to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight
Ability to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard
Ability to verbally communicate to exchange information
Vision in the normal visual range with or without correction
Hearing in the normal audio range with or without correction
