Elliott Aviation, a leader in aircraft solutions, is seeking a Finish Technician at their corporate headquarters in Moline, IL. This hands-on position is responsible for fabricating and refurbishing aircraft interior furnishings, including applying coatings and repairing damaged panels.

Responsibilities

Applies primer, top coat paint, and any spray-applied coatings to detailed parts, sub-assemblies and major assemblies of aircraft interiors

Preps various substrates (plastic, aluminum, wood) for use in aircraft cabinetry

Work with and assist in the directing of a team in order to accomplish an established goal

Vast knowledge of various finishes (polyurethane, lacquer, enamel, and stains)

Highly efficient in masking techniques and ability to train others

Ability to do high build high gloss veneer finishes with little to no supervision and train others

Repair damaged interior panels as directed by the crew chief

Able to repair damaged wood grains via airbrush or touch up

Required

High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to attain and retain AOA badge or Airport requirements

Four plus years Paint/ finish experience

Willingness to work on a team with both experienced technicians and mentor junior technicians with a calm demeanor

Ability to communicate well in straightforward situations

Organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment

Excellent workmanship aptitude and a desire to initiate improvements
