Responsibilities
Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson
Installs and repairs pipes and fixtures (such as sinks, toilets, safety showers and eyewashes) for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids; installs supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation
Perform inspections on interceptors, separators, and acid neutralizers
Replaces faucets and plumbing fixtures; installs new piping ½ inch to 8 inches; performs snake drainage
Tests backflow devices; installs hot water tanks
Inspects, maintains and repairs Fire Protection Systems (i.e. sprinklers, standpipes, pumps, and dry chemical piping systems)
Reads and works from blueprints and sketches to complete workload efficiently and accurately
Performs other maintenance duties as needed and as assigned by the supervisor or lead
Qualification
Required
Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing fixtures, all piping of drainage systems, water supply, vent systems, storm water drainage systems, natural gas lines, fire sprinkler piping, medical gas and vacuum piping of the hospitals
