Metrology/ Laser Tracker Technician

Lexicon, Inc. is seeking a skilled Metrology/Laser Tracker Technician to join their team and contribute to their mission of building a brighter future. The role involves utilizing laser trackers for alignment and inspection, providing technical guidance, and supporting field operations.

Responsibilities

Utilize laser tracker to align components to machine coordinates and tolerances as well as for reverse engineering
Read and interpret client drawings to identify appropriate inspection methods and geometric dimensioning/specifications
Perform inspection checks at various stages
Provide support to Metrology and Industrial Engineering
Must be able to provide hands on support and guidance to all field operations as needed to complete job or task
Provide technical and non-technical guidance to team members to foster career and personal development
The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required

Required

Minimum 3 years' experience as a Laser Tracker, preferably with Faro Cam2 software, but not required
Must be familiar with blueprint readings, industrial alignment, optical surveying and AutoCAD
Must have ability to lift over 50 pounds occasionally
Must be able to climb to heights up to 300 feet
Must be able to work in extreme environments and be able to adapt to different situations as required
Excellent vision or corrective vision
Requires a large amount of walking on the job site when in the field
Requires a considerable amount of overtime/weekend work
The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required
Candidates must show the capacity to proactively initiate, effectively lead, and consistently uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards
