SKILLED TRADE SPECIALIST II - Plumbing
NEOGOV is part of the Maryland Department of Transportation, which oversees the Maryland Port Administration. They are seeking a Skilled Trade Specialist with plumbing experience to maintain and repair plumbing systems critical to the operations at the Port of Baltimore.

Responsibilities
Install and repair circulating pumps, sanitary ejector systems, sewage systems, sprinkler systems, and waste disposal systems
Install and repair showers, sinks, spigots, toilets, urinals, and other plumbing fixtures
Installs, repairs, or replaces fire hydrants, fire extinguishers, and post indicator valves
Ensures the availability of hot and cold-water supplies
Caulks and packs various fittings
Inspects and performs preventative maintenance of plumbing, and other related tools and equipment
Orders supplies and equipment as necessary to carry out the day-to-day maintenance and repairs to various sheds and buildings
May fabricate and install form in underground water stations such as potable water pits, storm drains, and storm banks
Qualification
Required
Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate
Three (3) years of experience performing skilled trade work in the area of plumbing
Possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland
During the probationary period, employees may be required to obtain and maintain a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) valid in the State of Maryland, depending on the type of equipment operated
During the probationary period, employees will be required to obtain and maintain a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) to gain unescorted access to the Maryland Department of Transportation, Maryland Port Administration facilities
