They are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support a multi-tenant office building with mixed-use lab space, ensuring tenant safety and comfort through the operation and maintenance of building equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

Operate building equipment and systems as directed by chief and/or senior engineer

Respond to tenant service requests in such a manner as to reduce tenant work orders and eliminate recurring problems

Use Prism Work Order System to complete tenant work requests, preventative maintenance assignments and unscheduled maintenance tasks

Foster a work environment that promotes energy conservation and continuous improvement of engineering functions

Crosstrain at portfolio properties to gain basic knowledge of building systems to be able to support Chief Engineer at these sites as needed

Participate in on-call engineer rotation and respond to off-hours call as needed

Comply with safety and environmental procedures, specifically hazardous communication programs, lockout – tagout programs, asbestos O & M programs and mold awareness programs

Assist in coordination of service vendors and scheduling testing/inspection of building systems

Perform all other duties as directed by Chief Engineer, Facilities Director and/or Property Manager

Required

3-5 years' relevant experience in modern office building & life science property management

Able to perform minor plumbing, electrical and HVAC repairs/maintenance

Able to complete tenant 'handy-man' type repairs

Background in BMS controls required

Basic computer skills required (Microsoft Office, Outlook, work order management system)

Strong tenant relations skills
