New Grad, Entry LevelNGC Transmission Equipment (America), Inc. is responsible for the operation of specialized lifting equipment for wind turbine maintenance. The Large Corrective Exchange Technician will assist in the replacement of major wind turbine components and support the demands for large corrective exchanges in the wind gear drive business.

Responsibilities
Reports to the SFS Manager
Performs heavy rigging operations to facilitate replacement of wind turbine components
Mobilizes lifting equipment as required
Complies with all company and government safety regulations and guidelines
Participates in on-the-job training with on-site personnel
Completes all company required training in a satisfactory manner and timeframe
Travels as required
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Familiarity with heavy rigging
Must possess a valid driver's license, a clean driving record and proof of insurance coverage
Must be able to pass core safety, climbing and other required training courses
Valid current state license without restrictions
Willing to obtain and maintain a valid CDL
Customer and Personal Service – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance
Full English language proficiency
High School Diploma or GED
The employee must be of sound body and mind
Must be able to pass a physical exam and drug/alcohol screening
Must be capable of rescuing team mate anywhere in tower in the event of emergency with proper training
Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions (hot and cold)
Has the ability to climb and work a top freestanding wind turbine towers that exceed 300 feet in height and potentially do this multiple times per day

Must have the ability to sit for extended periods of time; exhibit manual dexterity to dial a telephone, to enter data into a computer; to see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; physical agility to lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred
GE 1.5-1.7 plus ESS certificate is a plus but not required
Knowledge in a Mechanical and Electrical Trade is strongly preferred
An associate's degree in Wind Turbine Technology is a plus but not required
