Responsibilities

Provide support to the clients in working toward the goals and objectives of their treatment plans

Manage the milieu on each unit

Assist clients and the treatment team in fostering a therapeutic environment on the unit

Help clients in activities of daily living skills

Monitor any medical, emotional, behavioral, or social problems

Support clients in overcoming issues

Accompany and/or transport patients in need of medical services outside the facility

Provide coverage in any area as needed to provide a full range of services

Qualification

Required

High school or General Educational Development diploma; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, staff and others

Ability to identify potential emotional, medical, or safety concerns

Ability to follow daily instruction regarding personal care and treatment plans and daily work assignments as assigned by the Charge Nurse/Nurse Supervisor

Frequent walking, standing, and lifting are required

Ability to complete and maintain CPR

Ability to complete and maintain Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Certification
