Responsibilities

Facilitating learning using the most up to date pedagogy, technology, and discipline specific knowledge

Teaching in all modalities and keeping current in new modalities that develop in higher education

Engaging in service to the college and student support activities

Qualification

AAS in Human ServicesDegree related fieldClassroom teaching experienceOnline teaching experienceTrain the Trainer coursePeer support specialist certificationCommunity college teaching experienceVerifiable experience in field

Required

Commensurate with State of Oregon requirements of respective academic and/or technical field: AAS in Human Services with 5 years' work experience will be considered, or bachelor's degree in closely related field with 5 years' work experience, or Master's degree in closely related field with 5 years' work experience preferred

Classroom teaching experience preferred; On-line teaching experience preferred

Completed the Oregon Department of Human Services Office of Developmental Disability's Train the Trainer course (if interested in teaching the Working with People with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities course)

Peer support specialist or certified recovery mentor (CRM I or CRM II) certification with OHA (if interested in teaching Peer Recovery Mentor course)
