Programs Assistant

NEOGOV is seeking a Programs Assistant to support the planning and implementation of community programs and seasonal youth camps. This role involves both administrative and hands-on responsibilities to ensure smooth operations and participant safety.

Responsibilities

Assist with the daily operations of community programs and seasonal camps, including SPARC Summer Camp and School Break Camps (approximately 13 weeks annually)
Support the Camp Director with staff supervision, activity coordination, camper safety, and communication with parents and guardians
Help plan, organize, and execute a variety of family, adult, and youth community programs by assisting with logistics, equipment setup, participant supervision, and facility management
Provide administrative support such as answering phones, responding to emails, maintaining records, preparing materials, and ordering supplies
Guide and instruct participants during activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable experience
Assist in evaluating programs and events to improve future offerings
Foster community engagement by helping assess community needs and deliver effective, inclusive community programs
Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

High School diploma or equivalent required
Any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job
