Business Development Director - DISA

Responsibilities

Develop a pipeline of new opportunities for assigned Sector or market segment
Lead identification and qualification of new business opportunities that support the account plan, Sector growth goals, and submit targets, throughout the opportunity life cycle
Lead early development of win strategy during the Assessment Phase, prior to assignment of a Capture Manager
Manage all aspects of account growth, new business development and customer relationship management across all levels within assigned accounts
Meet with customers to understand the customer territory—relative to portfolio of deals
Lead identification, qualification, and capture on select OTAs with assistance from the Defense CTO/SA
Execute call plans to collect information about particular opportunities; in collaboration with technical staff, proffers and tests potential solutions; qualify opportunities; document customer meetings in Salesforce
Meet with OEM vendors, other GD business units, and potential industry partners to collect information about opportunities and customers
Develop customer relationships, improve customer intimacy
Identify competitors, assess strategic fit, assess OCI
Prepare for and brief opportunities at formal gate reviews
Develop and brief Pursuit Reviews
Provide insight from customer point of view throughout opportunity life cycle

Required

10 + years of related experience
US Citizenship Required
BS degree
10+ years of Sales/BD/Capture/Proposal to include experience concentrating on DISA / and/or operational experience within the DoD/DISA
Relationships with DISA stakeholders and Senior Leadership
Experience with CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce), SharePoint, and all MS Office applications
Deep knowledge in at least one technical discipline, ie Cloud Services, Software Development, Networks
Experience w/ Strategic Planning
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Remote with frequent travel to GDIT/customer locations with some extended travel required during proposal phase
