Responsibilities
Qualified candidates must have a current, valid license to practice nursing
Licensed Vocational Nurses oversee detoxing clients with dual diagnosis, ensure that all medical processes and operations are followed, and documented
Supervise other licensed and non-licensed staff in the day-to-day delivery of patient care
Prepare and review medical records and nurses' notes to evaluate the resident's physical and emotional status
Provide nursing care according to the Physician's orders, care plans, established standards, policies and procedures
Prepare and monitor patient-administered medications as ordered by the physician in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies
Sign, date and perform all charting, record-keeping and care plans following established policies and procedures
Provide outstanding individualized resident care
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT)
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Some medical terminology is required. Must be familiar with Web-based EMR systems such as KIPU
Strong understanding of HIPAA and PHI
Basic navigational knowledge of some electronic medical record applications
Must have excellent time management skills, be highly organized, self-motivated
Maintain a high level of productivity and confidentiality
Excellent customer service, problem solving skills and attention to detail
The ability to follow through timely on tasks is essential
Possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Basic computer skills including Microsoft word, and e-mail
Valid Driver's License
Preferred
Use of EMR system preferred
Ability to coordinate with professionals from diverse backgrounds, working at distinct levels
Commitment to the philosophy of recovery and continuity of the program and of consideration and respect of clients
