Responsibilities
Converting research models into robust, scalable applications using Python and MATLAB
Maintaining and improving a proprietary research modelling platform, focusing on performance and user experience
Sourcing and managing large-scale economic datasets in a scalable and reliable fashion
Owning development projects end-to-end: from requirements gathering and solution design to testing, deployment, and support
Collaborating with economists, strategists, and technologists to align technical solutions with research needs
Exploring new ways to visualise and distribute model output for faster hypothesis validation and insight generation
Qualification
Required
Strong Python skills with hands-on experience using data analysis libraries such as NumPy and Pandas
Proficiency in MATLAB is essential; exposure to other statistical languages
A passion for programming and a drive to apply technology to solve real-world business problems
Deep understanding of the full software development lifecycle, ideally gained in a fast-paced, agile setting
Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively across diverse teams
Outstanding problem-solving skills and excellent communication
Preferred
Experience working within front-office environments at banks, asset managers, or hedge funds
