Responsibilities
Assist with trial and appellate litigation implicating state interests, including by researching legal issues, drafting briefs, and taking or defending depositions
Research and draft amicus curiae briefs submitted on behalf of the State in both federal and state court
Present and assist with the presentation of oral argument
Analyze strategic or policy issues relevant to the Office’s work
Undertake other assigned tasks
Qualification
Required
Recent law-school graduate or judicial law clerk
Admitted or seeking admission to the Indiana bar
Excellent academic record
Strong writing and analytical abilities
Preferred
Judicial clerkship preferred
