PT Associate Faculty - Film Photography
Cochise College is seeking an Associate Faculty of Film Photography to provide a quality learning experience for students in their classrooms, laboratories, and studios. The role involves teaching courses, developing lesson plans, and collaborating with faculty to enhance the instructional program.

Responsibilities
Teaches assigned courses to enrolled students and manages a diverse population of students in a classroom and/or laboratory environment
Develops, prepares, and implements lesson plans; conducts pre- and post-assessment of students; evaluates, assesses, and plans for students’ educational and social needs
Collaborates with other faculty and staff in the assessment of teaching strategies and the effectiveness of the instructional program to help promote a culture of continuous improvement
Maintains student records, statistics, and/or other pertinent information as required by the college and the department
Resolves issues relevant to the area of responsibility and scope of authority, referring more difficult or complex problems to the appropriate Department Chair, Dean, or other College official
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Photography from an institution accredited by an institutional accrediting body of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education
Knowledge of and ability to follow college policies and procedures
Knowledge of trends, developments, and new technologies affecting the Art program
Knowledge of how to assist students of diverse cultures and backgrounds to improve and master their photography skills
Knowledge of research-based adult learning principles
Knowledge of trends, developments, and new technologies affecting education
Knowledge of developing, implementing, and evaluating curriculum and instructional approaches
Skill with current technologies and word processing, database, presentation, and spreadsheet software, specifically Microsoft Office applications
Skill in using authentic assessment to evaluate students' needs and progress
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and to relate to others in a professional, helpful manner
Ability to relate to a diverse population and to maintain composure when faced with difficult situations
Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow multiple projects and tasks through to completion with attention to detail
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
Ability to analyze, identify solutions, and take appropriate actions to resolve problems either through the department chair or dean or by using independent judgment and decision-making
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other department staff, faculty, students, and the public
