Responsibilities

Leading the business development, training and marketing functions ensuring that deliverables and deadlines are met
Fostering a strong team culture by developing team dynamics through regular check-ins, feedback, goal setting, feedback, and developing a cross-training program
Identify training needs and facilitate skill development to enhance team performance
Identifying and cultivating new business opportunities and develop and execute strategies to successfully obtain new business and retain current business to drive external revenue growth and diversification
Building a qualified pipeline of high-value opportunities, drawing on both new relationships and expansion within existing accounts
Leading and supporting strategic initiatives, including sales enablement, effective agency training and impactful marketing efforts
Developing and implementing effective and engaging training/marketing programs in compliance with the Standard Reinsurance Agreement (SRA) and company guidelines
Ensuring effective communication, advertising, and social media strategies across various media platforms

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and a minimum of 10 years of crop insurance experience with a strong focus on crop insurance sales, training, or agency management
5+ years of people management experience, including coaching, mentoring and developing teams
Strong leadership skills with the ability to create a culture of accountability and excellence
Proven track record of success in business development
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
Strong consultative sales skills, along with exceptional communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Must possess a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record

Preferred

Experience being a manager of managers/supervisors is a plus
Experience coaching and developing agents is a plus
